A coherent and creative career
In 1997, Pep Torres decided to set up a company dedicated to selling ideas and inventions. The obstacles he has overcome combined with the enormous progress he has made have provided valuable experiences which have evolved into the activities now carried out by his company Stereonoise
In 2008, Vilanova y la Geltrú local council asked him to restructure and manage the most important inventions fair in Spain. The result was the Attic Inventions Fair.
The miBa: The world’s first ideas and inventions museum
The miBa, or Barcelona Museum of Ideas and Inventions will open its doors in 2011. It will consist of a shop, training rooms for children and entrepreneurs, library and, of course, permanent and temporary collections of inventions.
The miBa is an ambitious project that will be launched in 2011 and which started life in 1997 when someone dared to dream they could make a living from ideas and creativity.
The multiple languages of creativity
To write books, compose music, design, create new devices, conjure magic, write programmes for the radio and TV, and set up a business from scratch without resources are all representations of the same thing: creativity.
Pep Torres is not a creativity theorist, but someone who has set up his business using creativity and imagination in the broadest possible senses of the words.
